About us

Seastead came to life thanks to our dynamic and multidisciplinary team. The idea grew slowly and resulted with a first Seastead prototype that have been met with great interest. That inspired us to continue working on further improvements, having been tested by us in practice for living and home-office. Passionate about the project, and dedicated to achieving best results, we still keep pushing our limits, to bring you a floating house that can match any traditional apartment in terms of durability, infrastructure and comfort of living. A place for you to create unforgettable memories.

Our Mission

We believe that sustainable and mindful living doesn’t mean compromising on quality and comfort. We aim to make a pioneering concept of living on water your reality.

Meet Our Team

Marcin Kopyś

CEO

First of all I am a sailor. I love to spend time on the water – sailing, resting, working. My education is more about finance which is crucial from economic perspective of the company, but Seastead is more than that. It is a sum of hobbies, energy, creativity and skills of people and its mission to bring to our customers new positive feelings and new unforgettable moments in their life. And if you think about your life, I believe it's your memories that are the most important of what you have. Welcome on board.

Tomasz Jagiełło

Location Scout
and Revenue Delivery

I graduated with M.Sc. in Innovation Management and Entrepreneurship at TU-Berlin in 2016, holding already an engineer's degree in Computer Networking at TU-Wroclaw since 2011. I manage a network of 24 five-star apartments in Warsaw and Wroclaw, Poland and I run a pop-up art gallery. I joined Seastead team because of my genuine interest in floating urbanisation and ability to create things from the scratch. I am a sailing enthusiast with love for travelling, contemporary arts and a good coffee.

Dawid Małż

Constructor and Main Engineer

An engineer by profession, a handyman by passion. The fruits of my labour in the metal furniture industry are visible in museums, schools and gas stations all over Poland. I specialize in parametric design using CAD and CAM software. Manufacturing process management strategies are equally interesting. When we started discussing Seastead, I knew I couldn’t miss out on an opportunity to be a part of this multidisciplinary creative team where dreams quickly become reality.

Marek Pawłowski

Architect

I am a graduate of the Poznań University of Technology (Poland) in the field of Architecture and Urban Planning. In the years 1994 - 1996 I studied also at the Faculty of Interior Architecture and Industrial Design of the PWSSP in Poznań. Among completing numerous architectural, interior and furniture design projects, between 2009 - 2011 I worked with the EVAMINGEHOME team on the industrial application of architectural objects and interior design. Interest in creating spaces inaccessible to traditional architecture connected me with the Seastead team.

Krzysztof Szyda

Main Technologist

My first experience in manufacturing I gained while working for different companies in the Silesian region, which is the cradle of heavy industry in Poland. I have spent 8 years learning about steel processing and other technical knowledge I could now use in building floating houses. In the years 2010-2020, I moved on to international components manufacturing, both in Poland and directly in China. I got involved in Seastead because I love technical challenges and I loved the idea of urban expansion on water, which is usually inaccessible to people, yet so close and compatible with our needs. At work, I manage a team of people so that the projects we develop are reliable and of the highest standard.

Olga Machowicz

CFO

I am a graduate of the Faculty of Law and Administration of the Lazarski University in Warsaw. I have experience in providing legal corporate and financial services for companies. For a long time, I have worked with Blacksotnes, which is a leader in the accounting and corporate services industry. Privately, I am an enthusiast of travel, sports and a good coffee.
